Ponytail Pals - Review & Giveaway

What  are Ponytail Pals?  Think cuddly stuffed animal that can travel with your little girl in her hair as a ponytail holder or on her wrist as a bracelet.

Made for infants to age 12 in a variety of animal types:  bear, bunny, chick, dog, dolphin, elephant, horse, lamb, lion, monkey and pig.  

Price for each Ponytail Pal is $8.99.

After receiving the samples in the mail, I gave my daughter the package to open to observe her initial reaction...  As soon as she opened it, she excitedly pulled out the bunny right away and seemed to think it was pretty cute!

She only wanted to put the bunny in her hair first, so I decided to try it out as a bun on the top of her head.

The stuffed animal is a couple inches high not including ears, and is cute, soft and well made. The elastic is black and quite thick.... actually just like the ones I use for my hair, minus the lovey.  I wasn't sure how well they would hold in my daughter's extra fine slippery hair, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that they held just fine!

After a bit of cajoling I managed to get my daughter to try on the other critters as well, worn at the end of two braids and shake her head around to see if they flew off the ends but they didn't.  So practically speaking they work! 

Trying it out as a bracelet, the elastic was too big for my daughter's wrist.  We also tried doubling it up but it was too tight so I can't see her wearing it that way.  

Overall Ponytail Pals are a cute idea that seem to resonate with little ones. The price point of $8.99 is a bit high for me, but if it is also cherished by your child as a portable stuffed animal, then it could be worth it just for the convenience!
